WORLD SUPERCROSS ADDS NOVEMBER RACE IN ABU DHABI TO REPLACE FRANCE

SX Global has announced that the penultimate round of the FIM World Supercross Championship will be held in November in Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena on Yas Island.

The WSX Abu Dhabi GP will be held over two days at the Etihad Arena on Yas Island on November 4-5, 2023. The  event will be the first time a World Supercross event has been held in the region. The French race, originally scheduled for July 22nd at Lyon-Decines has mysterious disappeared from the WSX website with only a mention of it being “postponed indefinately”  but to most people that means “cancelled.”  Given that WSX released a new race calendar, that includes Abu Dhabi, but has no mention of France (or any possible new date for France,) it is obvious that France is cancelled..

UPDATED FIM WORLD SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP SCHEDULE
July 1…Birmingham, England
July 22….Lyon-Décines, France (Cancelled)
Sept. 30…Singapore, Rep. Singapore
Oct. 14…Dusseldorf, Germany
Oct. 28…Vancouver, Canada
Nov. 4-5…Abu Dhabi, UAE (Replaces France)
Nov. 24-25…Melbourne, Australia
