HIGH POINT MX NATIONAL // 450 QUALIFYING RESULTS

The premier class has made it’s way to Mt. Morris Pennsylvania for the fourth round of the 2023 Pro Motocross season. We’ll be honest, the racing hasn’t been as thrilling as we’d hope this season but a handful of surprises like Ty Masterpool waxing some of the fastest factory riders in the world have kept our attention. And this weekend, Ken Roczen will be joining the ranks onboard his HEP Suzuki. But before we get to the racing, let’s find out who’s quickest on the High Point track.

If we had a quarter for everytime someone pulled into the mechanics area, we probably wouldn’t need to type the races every weekend. The grippy, but slippery (we can’t believe we just typed that) soil had half of the field being diagnosed by their mechanics at any given moment. Some riders even bailed on the session after getting a satisfactory lap time. Jett would be the quickest in the second session but still two seconds behind Ken Roczen’s impressive first session.

Adam Cianciarulo held the fastest lap for the majority of the first session until Ken Roczen swept in beating Adam’s time by …checks notes, over three seconds. Well, we weren’t expecting that. The surprises continued as both Garrett Marchbanks and Dylan Ferrandis jumped up to second and third beating Adam’s time. But the series leader, Jett Lawrence, only qualified back in fifth with Ty Masterpool and Derek Drake in fifth and sixth.
