Yamaha Factory rider and last year’s 250 Vice Champion behind Tom Vialle, who is now racing in the USA, had built up a 48-point lead over second place rider Andrea Adamo in the 2023 FIM 250 World Motocross Championship—albeit with 14 races to go. At least until an orthopedic specialist back home in Belgium looks at his left wrist, which X-rays at the track revealed was fractured, he is going to lose a big chuck of that lead to Adamo and third place Kay de Wolf.
