2023 SPANISH MXGP VIDEO: HERLINGS & LAENGENFELDER SWEEP BOTH CLASSES

The sixth round of the FIM World Motocross Championship saw Jeffrey Herlings win his 102nd Grand Prix to Pass Stefab Ecverts record of 101 wins (Everts still holds the record for the most FIM World Championships at 10, with Herlings only having won five). Total 450 points at the end of the day, saw Herlings go 1-1 in front in front of GasGas rider Mattia Guadagnini who got his first-ever MXGP podium. Spanish hero Ruben Fernandez was third on the podium, while Jorge Prado’s fourth overall was good enough to keep the Red Plate and points lead.

Jeffrey Herlings (84) won his 102nd Grand Prix on Sunday.

This is as close as anybody got to Simon Laegenfelder all day at the Spanish 250 Grand Prix.

Simon Langenfelder’s pace was too much for the 250 pack all day long as the German went 1-1 to win his second-ever 250 GP (his first was in England in 2002). 250 points leader Jago Geerts went 2-2 for second. Andrea Adamo was third with a 5-3 in front of Kay de Wolf’s 4-4. Geerts, Adamo and DeWolf lead the 250 World Championship after six rounds.
