HIGH POINT NATIONAL // 450 RACE RESULTS
The premier class has arrived to Mt. Morris, PA for the High Point National. It’s no surprise that we all wish that the 450 class was just a tad more exciting this year but the track’s grueling nature has proven to be a neutral ground knocking over the best riders in the series. In qualifying, just about everyone had spent some time in the Pennsylvania soil making constant adjustments in the mechanics area. Fortunately, the sun has come out which means the track should get better, but after the first 250 moto, we can’t be quite sure. Scroll down below to find out what happens when the gate drops at High Point.

Ken Roczen was across the holeshot line first with the few factory riders chasing right behind. After four minutes, Aaron Plessinger would slide out and with nowhere to go, Jett Lawrence got stuck behind the KTM rider allowing Dylan Ferrandis to make the pass. But somewhere between the tip over and the start line, Jett Lawrence had made his way around both Cooper Webb and Dylan Ferrandis.
After 10 minutes, Adam Cianciarulo was on Ken Roczen’s tail. Not much would happen until 8 more minutes later, Jett Lawrence would make the pass for second on Adam Cianciarulo.
With 5 minutes left, Jett made the pass on Ken for the lead.

450 MOTO 1 RESULTS // HIGH POINT NATIONAL
Jett Lawrence grabbed the holeshot with Cooper Webb and Garrett Marchbanks chasing in second and third. Garrett would make quick work of Cooper Webb while Ken Roczen would join the fun racing Cooper on the first lap. Ty Masterpool got an excellent start racing side-by-side with Adam Cianciarulo. By time the first lap had finished, Jett’s lead had already grew to three seconds.
On the second lap, Adam Cianciarulo would be found dead in the water stuck in a rut but would get going again after losing two positions. As the race continued, both Garrett Marchbanks and Ty Masterpool held their third and fourth place positions.
Halfway through the moto, Jett Lawrence would catapult at the base of one of the valleys losing two positions. But in no time, Jett was already on Garrett’s rear fender. A lap later, Jett secured second and begun to put on a hard charge for the first place.
Jett claimed the lead position with only four minutes left but several turns later, Ken Roczen would take the spot back with a fast inside line. One minute later, Jett was back in the lead.
With just two laps left, Ken went down and the Suzuki was giving Ken a hard time with the restart. The failure of the bike starting would cost Ken an entire minute sitting stationary on the track.
